Intoxicated by a Lack of Expertise

This night I debuted my own new custom script, The Dunning-Kruger Effect, which I’ve been noodling around on for several weeks. It’s similar to the last one I built, Your Own Little Worlds, especially in that it’s built largely around the Boffin, because I selected most members of the good team specifically to be interesting choices to give to the Boffin.

I decided that going in the Summoner direction on YOLW, and trying to balance the script for that Minion was just making things too complicated. I thought it might be worthwhile to reduce jinxes and refocus on the original goal, so I axed the Summoner. I ended up replacing it with the Pit-Hag, and then the possibilities really seemed to open up, particularly in combination with the Bounty Hunter. There are several reasons why a normally good ability can fall into evil hands.

The Dunning-Kruger Effect, 15-player (+1 Traveller) - good won.

This game was pretty short - many players were surprised when the person on the block turned out to be the Vigormortis. Apparently they'd only voted for him because they hadn't been able to execute the most recent evil ping from the Bounty Hunter.

The Dunning-Kruger Effect, 14-player (+2 Travellers) - evil won.

The Virgin killed the Farmer, the Assassin killed the Fisherman who was Tea Lady-protected, and the Imp killed himself to starpass. Also in this game: The Pit-Hag changed the Assassin into an evil Sailor, the Scapegoat died to save the Gossip, and evil won.
