The Ironic Giant

This night we played a variety of scripts, all pretty advanced, with the good team winning most of the games. I haven’t had many opportunities to run Leviathan games, although I avoided it for a long time, to be fair. For a while there, I wasn’t confident I could make the game go on long enough without having the good players getting enough information to let them easily locate the Demon. To be honest, I’m still not confident I could do it consistently, although I’ve definitely played in several challenging Leviathan games.

But my main objection to Leviathan remains: A Demon that doesn’t kill, and basically doesn’t do anything, just doesn’t feel like Blood on the Clocktower, to me.

Nobody Fucking Move - 6-player - evil won.

Here, the Philosopher drunked the Virgin, but then also failed to proc as well, because he was Minion-nominated. The Psychopath failed to kill due to Pukka poison, and the Pukka failed to lose from execution, due to the sober Heretic.

Something Wicked This Way Comes - 15-p + 2 Travellers - good won.

I was hoping to run this Leviathan script more than once, but several players weren’t into it. So we just played this 1 - the Lunatic turned evil early on, via the Mezepheles word “Terrific”. The sober Village Idiot was pretty sure he was drunk most of the game, because at night he chose only 1 good player, and learned that all his other choices were evil. The evil Thief & good Bureaucrat the same players as one another every day they were both alive. Good won on Day 5, at the last possible minute.

The Mystery Machine - 15-player + 2 Travellers - good won.

Brandon was the Storyteller for this game, while I took my own medicine and played The Mystery Machine, but I don’t remember all that much of what happened anymore. The Grandmother was poisoned & Lleech-hosted, so he learned that the Demon was his grandchild. I Pacifist-saved the Klutz from execution on an early day. Good killed the Lleech host somewhere around D4 for the win.
